RED CROSS YOUTH CAMP Reach school at about 8.35 and meet everyone there.On the first day nth much to say hahas...but the next 2 days was quite fun.We got our bag check first then we continued with our footdrill training it was cool man hahas...i took over the squad but i dunno y they cant open their mouth and shout the timing...but nvm...forget it...but they like marching on the spot that cheer :) then we play some evacuation games. They did pretty well too ^^ i am very proud of them hahas...then that we went for our lunch at the canteen muahahas...after our lunch the seniors, sir and NCOs conduct a fire drill. I was the 1 who blew the whistle :) then when they report their strength, and we told them all the rules and everything. after the fire drill end, we prepare ourselves for visiting the Red Cross Home visit. We sang 3 songs there :) first was You Raise Me Up follow by Xiao Wei and last was Rasa Sayang Eh. We fed the people their dinner there and ate our dinner at Alamin there(dunno how to spell leh...)hahas...after eating our lunch, we went for night walk. The night walk was scary lor...so dark without any lights de...then Mr Lee brought the Seniors and NCOs to walk first. when we rech there is a bit of light at the side of the path. then 6 of us have to walk back and bring the juniors and Miss Wong to the place. I volunteered to walk back and brng the juniors and miss wong back. Erm then Jonathan, Arsi, Meiling, Odilia and Qian Yi also went to bring the juniors and Miss Wong back. Our walk was quite good and no 1 was injured. we all went back to school after everything end. Reach school and had our debrief for a while and we did our reflections...and this is the time where the juniors had their shower time. after the juniors went to sleep, all the Seniors and NCOs had their debrief at the teachers staff room hahas...the air con there was cold...i wondering how Miss wong sleep lor...so cold lor...we end our debrief at around 2?then we went to bathe...the water there was damn cold lor...like ice water like that...but nvm...i endure...hahas...then i slept for 2 hours and wake up to conduct fire drill at around 4 plus. Soon, it was the next day. the activites was fun hahas...first we did our PT and then ate our breakfast before we went for our Canopy Walk. Canopy Walk a long hours we walk about 13km. I cant believe that we actually walked 13km. It was very tiring man...here comes our teamwork. we was walking up the slippery slope. Everyone was helping each other t walk up the slope. Chee Leng was holding on to Miss Wong hand and smth happen..........GUESS WHAT HAPPEN.................................. Okay...actually nth happen.hahas..its just onli a fall...cause the slope is muddy and slippery...but they walk up safetly...and we continued our walk...there comes another slope...Qian Yi and me walked up first.She was holding my hand and we walked up...smth happen again...Qian Yi almost fall off the slope when she climbing up...heng there was some lady who was kind to support Qian yi up the slope.next it was me i almost fall off the slope too...but those ppl there support me :) there were very kind as we helped them too...hahas...during half way of our canopy walk, we had our lunch there...hahas...everything also NCOs do...juniors also dun dare touch all those things...wth...hahas...i am the IC on Day 2 then i lead the juniors the cheer hahas...onli those ppl behind shout but not in front...haiz...nvm...we got to do donation for st. gabriel hahas...damn tired lor after canopy walk must do donation flag day. After we finish doing, we went back to school to return the tin. then we went to gather at the courtyard and prepare for our archery ^^ chee leng and me team up and play together hahas...then we always play then nvm stop. We play play play till ouurfinger damn pain now...haiz...i think i should cut short this cause i going to post a long long post...after that we had our outdoor cooking hahas...i dunno what is going on during outdoor cooking cause i was not there...and this is the time when the campfire start...the campfire was not organised well due to some reason...if not we could perform more...after campfire we had our debrief and reflection...then the juniors went to wash up and went to sleep...then the same thing again...the seniors and NCOs went for debrief...we had our debrief till 2 plus again...i didn't bathe hahas...cause i was too tired and went to sleep hahas...then woke up at 5.15 to conduct firedrill again...we keep on doing and doind till morning...around 6 plus...finally and it is the day when we going break camp!!!!!!as usual we had our PT and ate our breakfast...after breakfast, we went to clean the bunk and pack up all our stuff...we changed into our full U and train our footdrill...from what i observed during the 3 days 2 nights camp, i can see that the juniors and everyone there has improved a lot...especially the juniors...they did quite well for their footdrill...not bad...while we train, Miss wong went to buy lunch for us if not we confirm straved to death de...heng lor...hahas...after lunch we played a game called treasure hunt!!!the time was too rush and the campers didn't managed to complete everything...but nvm next time i will put a longer duration for them to completed everything...we did some area cleaning and put all the food and stuff back to red cross room. FINALLY we had our very last debrief with eveyone and we celebrated Jie Zhen's birthday. We got to write smth on everyone book...hahas...and the Seniors gave out all the prizes for the best group, winner and loser of treasure hunt, best campers, most improved and many more. After the whole thing end, we break our camp!!!!!!!! |
